Description of service

The purpose of this set of services is to stimulate the digital growth of companies and public administrations.


The first objective is to increase the knowledge of basic digital technologies by technicians and the awareness of their potential applications by decision makers.


To this end, the I-NEST pole organizes thematic events and training courses aimed at the professional growth of technical personnel, but to achieve real digital innovation it is equally important to stimulate the integration of digital technologies into the operating models of enterprises and the PA.


The courses delivered in e-learning, traditional and hybrid mode will suggest applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing, but the concrete implementation will be the synergistic result of proactive actions in companies and the PA.


In order for the potential of digital technologies to become operational realities, a strict assessment of the costs of transformation is necessary; specific courses will be aimed at informing about funding opportunities and cost assessment of the implementation of digital innovation.


The problem of computer security, on the other hand, presents a principal aspect linked to its inevitability: companies and public administrations must protect and defend their computer structures and their data, both for the sustainability of their activities and for compliance with the law, in particular the GDPR. In this case, the courses will also be aimed at spreading this vision and at educating on company safety.


Finally, the new "non-repudiation" technologies linked to the use of distributed ledgers can represent an opportunity for innovation on product (or service) quality, guaranteeing the entire supply chain and not just the final product (or service). Also in this case the choice on the adoption of technologies must go through a careful evaluation by the decision makers.


The continuous contact with companies and public administrations, achieved through all the services of the centre, will allow constant updating of training also on the basis of emerging needs. By its nature, the training service can represent the first step towards a digital growth path for companies which could envisage the use of the most advanced services in cascade such as "ask the expert", visits to demo-centers, the "test before invest”, up to tutoring for the implementation of a specific innovation.

The service is addressed in a differentiated way to both companies and public administrations. The presentations and in particular the presentation of potential applications and funding opportunities, will be adapted to the recipients both as companies with lucrative purposes and to the types of people: technicians or decision makers.
